Evening Nursing Supervisor Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Provides quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice Supervises G.N.A's and subordinate staff, ensuring assignments are completed and providing constructive feedback Contributes to the performance evaluation of nursing personnel assigned to the unit Works with the Nurse Manager to determine staffing requirements, make recommendations, and develop corrective action plans Reports problem areas, personnel disciplinary issues, and challenges to the Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on the shift Rounds the unit to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident's condition Assists in developing comprehensive care plans and completes medical records Maintains established infection control and standard precaution practices, reports hazardous conditions, and ensures the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents Responds to call lights promptly and courteously and assists with new admissions, re-admissions, and transfers Communicates effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors
