This role serves as the operational leader for the practices and is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, staff development, patient satisfaction, and achievement of organizational goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can balance patient care, team leadership, operational performance, and business objectives while partnering closely with physicians and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple medical practices. Develop and implement workflows that improve efficiency, patient access, and staff productivity. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), patient volume, staffing metrics, and operational outcomes. Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead implementation efforts. Staff Leadership and Development Directly supervise clinical and administrative staff, including CMAs, nurses, and front office personnel. Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care. Manage employee scheduling, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions as needed. Clinical Quality and Compliance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations. Monitor clinical quality measures, including diabetes management, hypertension control, depression screening, preventive care, and population health initiatives. Support value-based care programs, including MDPCP AHEAD and other quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a clinical resource for staff regarding patient care protocols and best practices. Financial and Business Operations Assist in budget management and monitoring operational expenses. Oversee inventory management and vendor relationships. Partner with leadership to monitor revenue cycle performance, productivity, and financial goals. Support initiatives that improve patient retention, access, and practice growth. Patient Experience Ensure a positive patient experience through effective service recovery and patient engagement strategies. Address patient concerns and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction and continuity of care. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland. Minimum 3 years of healthcare leadership, practice management, or clinical operations experience. Experience managing staff in an outpatient or primary care setting. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality programs, and value-based care initiatives. Knowledge of budgeting, operational management, and healthcare business practices. Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience with population health management, care coordination, chronic care management, or quality improvement programs. Multi-site practice management experience. Experience leading operational transformation and workflow redesign. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
