Manager | After-Hours Hospice Operations Faith Hospice - 3.5 Byron Center, MI Job Details 10 hours ago Qualifications RN License Full Job Description Manager | After-Hours Hospice Operations Lead when patients and families need us most Faith Hospice is seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to oversee our After-Hours Response Team. This unique leadership opportunity is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supporting staff, and wants to make a meaningful impact during some of the most critical moments in a patient's hospice journey. Unlike traditional management roles, this position is intentionally aligned with the hours our Response Team is actively serving patients and families. The manager will provide leadership, coaching, operational oversight, and clinical support during evenings, weekends, and other non-traditional hours, ensuring exceptional care and service when it matters most. What Will You Do? Provide direct leadership and support to the after-hours clinical team. Coach, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence. Monitor response times, patient and family satisfaction, staffing effectiveness, and operational performance. Serve as a resource for clinical decision-making and complex patient situations. Collaborate with daytime leadership teams to ensure continuity of care and communication. Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development. Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency. Support organizational quality, compliance, and patient safety initiatives. Schedule This position is designed to provide leadership during the hours when after-hours services are most active. As such, the schedule differs from a traditional Monday-Friday management role and may include evenings, weekends, and holiday coverage. Flexible scheduling options may be considered to align leadership presence with team needs while supporting work-life balance. Education and Experience Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required; unrestricted nursing license in the state of Michigan Previous leadership, supervisory, charge nurse, or management experience preferred Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment Commitment to patient-centered care and service excellence Hospice and palliative care experience strongly preferred If you are a leader who enjoys autonomy, values meaningful work, and wants to support caregivers when patients and families need them most, we invite you to apply!
