Position Title Clinical Nurse Coordinator Days

Career Interest:
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is a licensed registered professional nurse who is a clinical expert and actively promotes the delivery of evidence-based nursing interventions. Has expertise in one or more specialty nursing areas and/or with specific patient populations. Is often a liaison between inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives, utilizing information from relevant sources, such as databases and benchmarks. Applies principles of teaching/learning and health literacy to design, provide and evaluate patient and health care provider education. Collaborates effectively with team members and other disciplines. Demonstrates leadership through participating in hospital committees, councils and taskforces. Develops skills for effective communications and team building. Employs strategies to promote health in a safe environment. Implements and evaluates evidence-based nursing interventions. Incorporate ethical principles into healthcare planning and delivery. Promotes efficient delivery of patient care throughout the healthcare system. Seeks opportunities to share expertise and mentor others. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and Experience High School Graduate Bachelor Degree Nursing 2 or more years RN experience Preferred Education and Experience Master Degree Nursing Required Licensure and Certification Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN)
  • Single State
  • State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse in State of Kansas Home Infusion Roles also require KDADS certification.
Preferred Licensure and Certification As a condition of your employment and continued employment with the health system, you are required to secure a Nurse Compact License (NCL) within 60 days of your date of hire. This will enable you to perform your job duties not only in Kansas, but other compact states. You will be responsible for any expenses you incur in securing this license, and must provide your manager with evidence of this license before the sixty-day period expires. If you fail to secure the NCL as required, you will be immediately removed from the work schedule and placed on an unpaid administrative leave, until we can understand the reasons for your non-compliance. Further failure to comply with the licensing requirement will result in your end of employment with the health system.
