The ideal candidate will lead with compassion, ensuring the highest standards of care while actively mentoring nursing personnel and collaborating with the Director of Nursing to maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

A shared commitment to delivering excellent care to residents. Leadership by example with a hands-on approach, working alongside the Director of Nursing to develop and mentor nursing personnel. A deep commitment to building strong relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, hospitals, and the community. Description of Job Responsibilities This position is instrumental in implementing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department to maintain standards of residents' care. Directs the activities of licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel who provide healthcare and nursing services to the residents. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
This position:
Shares responsibility for processing new admissions, updating providers, order processing, assisting other nursing staff as needed, staffing, and other duties as directed. Manages infection control tracking, audits, monitoring lab results, and a variety of other tasks that may arise based on audits and trends of infections in the facility working closely with the Director of Nursing. Conducts nursing rounds on all units several times per day, including the beginning and end of shift. Ensures that residents are free from abuse, mistreatment, and neglect. Participates as a member of the facility's nursing leadership team. Understands the need for confidentiality regarding both staff and resident concerns. Education and/or
Experience:
RN License with current Wisconsin licensure required. 3 years of experience in long-term care or assisted living setting, preferred. Certified as an Infection Control Preventionist as required by the state or has experience with Infection Control. Experience with applicable state Survey Rules Regulations, Medicare and Medicaid. Ability to use desktop/notebook computers, Microsoft Office products, and various medical equipment required. Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to document the very specific details with accuracy.
