Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN), Med-Surg Career Land Center, LLC Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time 16 hours ago Qualifications RN License Acute care facility experience Medical-surgical Full Job Description A 585+ bed hospital in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead nursing care on its Med-Surg unit. The facility holds both a Level I Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center designation. This is a full-time, on-site position with day and night shift options available. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator leads nursing care delivery during the designated shift, directing, monitoring, and evaluating care in accordance with established policies and procedures. The CNC assists with admission and discharge processes to support efficient patient throughput, participates in ongoing quality assessments alongside the management team, and engages in service recovery to uphold a patient-first environment. The role also carries staffing responsibilities, including scheduling, labor management in line with productivity guidelines, and providing input on interviewing, selecting, and developing new staff members. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate nursing care delivery throughout the assigned shift Direct, monitor, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures Support admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient throughput Participate in ongoing quality assessments in collaboration with the management team Engage in service recovery efforts to maintain a patient-centered environment Manage staffing and scheduling responsibilities in alignment with productivity guidelines Provide input on interviewing, selecting, and developing new team members Serve as a clinical resource and point of leadership for nursing staff during each shift Qualifications Strong, current acute care experience in Med-Surg required Prior Charge RN experience in an acute care Med-Surg setting preferred, or a minimum of two years as a staff RN on a Med-Surg unit; experience must be current and recent Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Current registered professional nurse license in the state of practice and/or an active compact license in accordance with law and regulation required Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Schedule Days (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) with rotating weekends Nights (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with rotating weekends Benefits Sign-on bonus available
