LPN Charge Nurse

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a critical role in overseeing patient care, coordinating nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in various nursing specialties, including geriatrics and infection control. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical history and current health status. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management, including tube feeding and family planning. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline care processes. Utilize PointClickCare for accurate documentation of patient information, coding, and care plans. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery within the facility. Qualifications Current Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing. Proven experience in nursing roles, particularly in geriatrics Strong knowledge of infection control practices and protocols. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead effectively in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically PointClickCare. Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient-centered care. Certification in relevant specialties is a plus but not required.
