Overview Weekend RN Supervisor - Long-Term Care We are seeking a dependable and confident Weekend RN Supervisor to lead our nursing team and oversee clinical operations every Saturday and Sunday. The Weekend RN Supervisor serves as the primary clinical leader in the building, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong team coordination.

Responsibilities:

Supervise nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) Perform assessments and respond to changes in condition Ensure accurate documentation and medication administration Manage staffing and address weekend call-ins Communicate significant concerns to leadership Ensure compliance with LTC regulations and infection control standards

Qualifications:

Duties Oversee nursing operations during weekend shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient care. Supervise nursing staff, including delegation of tasks, performance monitoring, and providing mentorship. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status. Ensure accurate medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, catheter care, and or tube feeding protocols as needed. Coordinate discharge planning, family communication, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain infection control standards and aseptic techniques while managing specimen collection/processing and laboratory procedures. Experience Proven supervisory experience in a healthcare setting with strong leadership skills in nurse management. Background in geriatrics, dementia care, behavioral health, or long-term care environments highly desirable. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and medication administration. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus. Valid RN license with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
