Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Charge Nurse, providing exceptional patient care while leading and coordinating nursing staff. In this vital role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and deliver compassionate support to patients across diverse care settings. Responsibilities Lead nursing teams by assigning duties, supervising clinical activities, and ensuring adherence to care plans and safety protocols Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to inform treatment strategies Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict protocols and documentation standards Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care with sensitivity and professionalism Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient records management Coordinate discharge planning, referrals, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Ensure infection control practices are maintained rigorously in accordance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare standards Experience Valid LPN or RN license with current state certification required; additional certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center highly desirable Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and coding (ICD-9/10, CPT) Prior experience working in hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, or post-acute care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Strong background in patient assessment, triage procedures, medication administration including IV insertion and catheterization Familiarity with specialized areas including hospice care, infectious disease management, trauma response, pediatric or neonatal ventilator support is advantageous Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medical terminology necessary for comprehensive patient care Join our team to provide compassionate nursing leadership that elevates patient experiences while advancing your professional growth.
