Job Description

Join McKnight Place Assisted Living & Memory Care—Where Compassion Meets Excellence! Position Summary The Nurse Supervisor at McKnight Place Assisted Living and Memory Care is responsible for overseeing evening and weekend nursing operations, and supporting Charge Nurses, CNA's, and CMT's. This position serves as a liaison between the Director of Clinical Services (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), and direct care nursing staff to ensure quality care, consistent communication, and adherence to policies and State regulations. The Nurse Supervisor provides clinical guidance, supports staffing coordination, and ensures a safe and effective care environment for residents.
Shift Details:

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to Charge Nurses, CNA's, CMT's, and Restorative Aides during assigned shifts. Ensure timely response to resident needs and assist with clinical problem-solving as needed. Monitor and maintain accurate clinical documentation and nursing reports. Conduct walking rounds to observe care delivery, provide coaching, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Support onboarding and mentoring of new nursing staff, including providing re-education as necessary. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to monitor staffing coverage and address performance concerns. Participate in quality assurance efforts and assist with tracking of clinical audits or incident follow-up. Communicate resident condition changes to appropriate departments and leadership. Ensure narcotics and controlled medication documentation is maintained per policy. Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate departments. Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA and facility policy. Follow policies, procedures, and State/Federal Regulations as applicable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in Missouri. At least 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care or assisted living, with supervisory experience preferred. Job Requirements Walking, standing, bending, and lifting items up to 25 lbs. Occasionally assisting residents with transfers and/or pushing wheelchairs. Working in indoor environments with possible exposure to odors, cleaning agents, or body fluids. Adhering to all infection control and safety protocols. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Availability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
