3 TO 11 RN SUPERVISOR

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations for shifts ranging from three to eleven hours. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, nursing management, and clinical workflows within diverse healthcare settings. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. The RN Supervisor will play a vital role in fostering a collaborative team environment while managing daily clinical activities. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient delivery of patient care across medical-surgical, acute care, or specialized units. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide clinical guidance on complex cases involving IV infusion, catheterization, ventilator management, and medication administration. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and safety standards in all nursing activities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and case managers to facilitate discharge planning and utilization review. Qualifications Valid RN licensure with current state registration; prior supervisory or team management experience is required. Demonstrated expertise in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; experience in emergency medicine or hospital medicine is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of patient assessment techniques, medication administration protocols, and diagnostic evaluation procedures. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring dementia care. Competence in handling complex clinical procedures such as gastrostomy tube feeding, sterile processing, and infection control measures. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams while fostering a positive work environment focused on quality patient care.
