Within the Intensive Care Unit, the Nurse Manager ICU directs complex, fast-paced care backed by a major academic health system, recognized by U.S. News & World Report with High Performing ratings across heart, lung, and diabetes care, demonstrating strong performance in key clinical service lines and chronic disease management. As a Critical Care RN Manager, lead the primary acute-care anchor for the region and surrounding rural communities with critical‑access‑level impact in a high‑need area, supported by enterprise resources, standards, and clinical infrastructure.
Reporting to senior nursing leadership, the Critical Care RN Manager steers 24/7 ICU operations, occasionally functions as a Staff RN, and drives staffing, onboarding, budgeting, equipment readiness, evidence-based protocols, quality, safety, and throughput; alongside the Nurse Manager ICU, a friendly, diverse team of RNs, intensivists, APPs, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case management, rehabilitation, and social work collaborates through shared governance and real-time decision support.
