Description:
Full-Time (40 hours) The Assistant Nurse Manager, RN (ANM) is a role developed to work in coordination with the Director in the Emergency Department to ensure the work is accomplished safely and effectively
Requirements:
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Current licensure in the State of North Carolina or Compact State as a Registered Nurse BLS certification required ACLS certification required PALS certification required BSN preferred
EXPERIENCE
Preferred Five (5) years' experience in Emergency Department
NECESSARY SKILLS
Knowledge of the Emergency Department techniques and procedures. Knowledge of Emergency Department equipment and instruments. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be flexible and willing to learn. Possess analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communications skills. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Computer skills including word and excel programs. Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list): Serves as leadership support for staff, physicians, and other related providers on ED-specific clinical issues. Collaborates with the Director on clinical and non-clinical operations related to the ED. Serves as the leader support for the ED when the Director is unavailable. Supervising, directing, coaching and mentoring staff with the direction of the Director Is responsible for scheduling of staff for the department At manager's request assist in personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations and other related activities
