Job Description
What We Offer Join Our Team as a Novant Health Regional Transfer Center Nurse Manager. Are you a dynamic nursing leader passionate about patient care and operational excellence? Novant Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to oversee our Regional Transfer Center, a critical hub ensuring smooth patient placement and care coordination across multiple hospitals. What You'll Do Lead and support a team of RNs, certified nursing assistants, and safety attendants, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and high-quality care. Manage high-level triage, air and ground transport logistics, and bed management to optimize patient flow. Monitor and coordinate patient transfers and bed assignments across Novant Health facilities to ensure efficiency and timely care. Collaborate with nursing leadership, emergency departments, and specialty teams (stroke, trauma) to facilitate rapid and seamless patient movement. What We're Looking For Proven leadership experience in nursing or healthcare operations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex logistics. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and safety.
Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required . Bachelors Degree in Nursing, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.Experience:
Two years demonstrated leadership experience, preferred. Three years clinical RN experience in an acute care setting, preferred.Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Board certification in area of practice, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Understands and applies: current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; skills in interviewing and selection process; understanding of budgeting, staffing, payroll and purchasing processes; implementation of competency, feedback, development and progressive discipline processes; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations; principles of change management.
