Job Description
BLNRC is seeking a Full-Time Ward Clerk for our Nursing Department. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Training/experience in clerical duties (filing, computer/phone apps, printer, etc.) and previous experience as a supervisor dealing with personnel, policies and procedures preferred. Must be detail-orientated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Kronos or similar nurse scheduling system a plus but not required. Duties include coordinating staff scheduling and staffing needs, including staff assignments, call-in coverage, time sheet verification, appointment scheduling, and cross-training in scheduling functions. Responsibilities also include order entry, maintaining electronic medical records, managing incoming and outgoing communications, assisting with supply and stock medication inventory, supporting VA medication ordering, maintaining nursing station forms and binders, vaccine data entry, and completing general clerical duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
