This nurse provides care for patients and has unit operation oversight throughout the assigned shift. The charge nurse will mentor, precept and nurture new nurses with the goal of successful transition from novice to expert.br/spanbbr/bulliFunctioning as a clinical/staff RN, occasionally responsible for a small patient assignment of 1-3 patients. /liliCharge nurse duties such as overseeing LPN, RN and LNA practice and delegating care as appropriate.br/lilispanHelps to coordinate employee breaks, creates the nursing assignment and makes adjustments based on changing acuity and/or discharges/admissions.br/span/lilispanAssists LPNs/RNs/LNAs as appropriate throughout the shift
  • assists with patient care, monitors for lab/diagnostic test results, follows up on referrals, consults with different departments as needed (pharmacy, lab, radiology).
