This is a salaried position; schedule Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm and includes an on-call weekend rotation. If you have a sincere desire to deliver quality, daily nursing care to the elderly population; provide the attention, compassion and respect to support the needs of residents and patients living with or recovering from illness and disability; and value working in a professional, supportive team, then we want you to become part of our work family.
Qualifications:
Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree of diploma from an accredited school or college of Nursing. Certification in gerontology is desirable. Must hold a current, unencumbered license to practice as a nurse (RN/LPN) in New Hampshire. Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role Experience working in hospital/long-term care setting preferred Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and nursing documentation
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise direct care nursing department personnel and resident care on the evening shift. Make resident rounds with a formal report to the Director of Nursing Services. Review residents admitted and compare physician orders with each resident's plan of care to assure appropriate implementation on the physician's plan of care. Complete reports and assignments accurately and adhere to established time schedules. Accept all call-outs for oncoming shift(s) and proceed to assist in finding replacement. Take responsibility of patient lists to provide medications and fulfill nursing care duties as needed and assigned. Counsel Licensed Nursing Assistants, and recommend personnel action to the Director of Nursing Services as necessary. Ensure that all nursing service personnel on the unit are following their respective job descriptions. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus!
