Responsibilities of Nursing Supervisor:

• Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the nursing department
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes
• Assist with complex medical procedures such as gastric lavage, cardiac catheterization, spinal tap, and airway management
• Coordinate sterile processing and specimen collection processing
• Manage occupational health programs and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
• Utilize electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth to maintain accurate patient records

Skills:

• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
