Job Description

Bartley Healthcare is seeking a motivated and creative RN Supervisor such as yourself to be part of our growth in an enjoyable atmosphere. With the recent renovations and new management at Bartley Healthcare, the RN Supervisor will assist in leading the clinical team for our facility which includes short term and long term residents. 3P-1130PM - FULL
TIME 3P-1130PM - PART TIME INCLUDES EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
The Registered Nurse Supervisor must have strong clinical and supervisory skills, as well as previous long term care experience. The Registered Nurse Supervisor has strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, good follow through skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are required. The Registered Nurse Supervisor works as a team player with Nursing Staff to provide excellent clinical care and the Registered Nurse Supervisor must demonstrate a willingness to assist others.
  • RN Nursing Supervisor Responsibilities
  • The RN Supervisor is accountable for the administrative, clinical, and professional development of facility personnel for the designated shift.
  • The RN Supervisor coordinates, directs, and oversees all aspects of the delivery of nursing care.
  • The RN Supervisor demonstrates competence in leadership and relevant clinical experience.
  • The RN Supervisor collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals; complies with orders in a timely manner.
  • The RN Supervisor conducts unit rounds, ensuring that clinical practices are delivered within the facility's established standards of care.
  • The RN Supervisor maintains standards of care in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • RN Supervisor Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse License.
  • RN must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The RN Supervisor must have the ability to work as part of a team, while managing multiple tasks in a safe and effective manner.
  • The RN Supervisor must be courteous and professional with an exceptional "bedside manner" have a high tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations
  • The RN Supervisor must have the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and clientele through sound business decisions, diplomacy and discretion
Essential Functions:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of all nursing staff members. Ensure that all nursing staff are meeting quality standards. Coordinate the staffing of all nursing personnel within the home. Maintain accurate records on daily rounds, in-service, and in-service reports. Ensure that all nursing staff are complying with policies, standards of practice, state licensure regulations and federal regulations governing nursing. Provide leadership training programs for new nursing staff. Provide supervision of nursing staff when necessary to ensure performance on assignments. Ensure that all nurses are complying with policies, standards of practice and with applicable regulations governing nursing. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred). Minimum 2 years' experience supervising nursing staff in a skilled nursing environment or home health setting (preferred). Experience working with geriatric patients preferred (preferred). Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and must be able to learn new software quickly.)
