MSN Nursing Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Clinical Nursing Coordinator oversees all nursing students' clinical experiences and teaches up to 6 credits of didactic coursework per semester. This role involves scheduling and coordinating clinical rotations, securing and maintaining relationships with clinical sites and preceptors, and orienting and supporting clinical instructors. The coordinator is responsible for monitoring and evaluating student performance and clinical instructors using the approved department rubric and form, ensuring compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and college policies, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. A key component of this position includes regularly visiting and traveling to clinical sites to provide on-site support and quality assurance. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new clinical placement opportunities to expand and enhance students' practical learning experiences. The coordinator also participates in curriculum planning, program development, and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that students receive a high-quality, compliant, and well-structured clinical education.Qualifications:
- MSN degree or higher
- Current RN license in NJ
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience; prior experience in nursing education preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience teaching nursing courses or willingness to teach is required.
- Knowledge of nursing education standards, clinical compliance, and accreditation requirements (preferred)
- High fidelity simulation experience (preferred)
