LPN CHARGE NURSE FOR ASSISTED LIVING POSITION SUMMARY
Performs nursing services based on the facility policies and procedures as regulated by the State and Federal law. PART 1:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS PERFORMANCE 1.
Responsible for direction, provision and quality of Nursing care. a. Provides guidance and training to medication aides and HHA's under supervision of Wellness Director. b. Provides weekly communication to Director to discuss and review key issues. c. Provides support to Nursing Leadership through weekly meetings. 3. Reviews nursing 24 hour reports and brings issues for resolution to Director. 5. Responsible for coordinating and integrating nursing services with other patient care services to provide a continuum of care for the patients. 8. Ensures completion, documentation of Incident/Accident Reports in a timely manner. 9. Ensures that disciplinary action is administered fairly and without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sex, religion, handicap or marital status. 11. Works as a team member with all other departments/auxiliary services
PART II. FACILITY-WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES & STANDARDS 1.
Demonstrate courtesy to resident, their families, and co-worker. 2. Maintains resident confidentiality. 3. Demonstrates ability to work with others. 4. Demonstrates flexibility in assignment to fill resident/family needs. 5. Arrives for work on time as scheduled on a consistent basis. 6. Adheres to departmental codes. 7. Attends mandatory and scheduled in-services/meetings.

PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB EMPLOYEE IS REQUIRED TO
1. Demonstrate ability to handle stressful situations. 2. Must be able to write & speak the English language in an understandable manner. 3. Ability to relate and work with the physically and emotionally challenged resident. 4. Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity & ability to work effectively with resident, family members, personnel & support agencies. 5. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. 6. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. 7. Candidates must demonstrate a consistently positive attitude and professional demeanor.
