Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with NCFL policies as well as federal, state, and local regulations for the residential program Assist with agency readiness for audits, licensing reviews, and inspections; cooperate fully during any inquiry or investigation. Flexibility with schedule to meet and oversee staff nurse medication passes and training. This may include early mornings, evenings and/or weekends as needed. Monitor and audit Medication Administration Records (MARs), medication storage, and prescriptions to ensure strict regulatory compliance. Maintain, update, and implement policies and procedures aligned with agency policy, regulatory standards, and best clinical practices Develop, conduct, and oversee comprehensive training programs for direct support and nursing staff including tube feedings and general trach care. Ensure all medical records and documentation systems (including Foothold EHR, MARs, and logbooks) are accurate, current, and compliant with regulatory standards Oversee proper documentation of assessments, incidents, and health-related services in accordance with agency policy and regulatory standards Serve as liaison between physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and program staff if needed to ensure continuity and coordination of care. Conduct and document clinical assessments and use this as a training tool for shift nurses. Participate in and contribute to IDT (Interdisciplinary Team), ISP (Individual Service Plan), and other clinical meetings as needed. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, safety standards, and emergency response procedures Support admissions, discharges, and transitions of care, including hospital coordination Provide coverage across residential as needed, including participation in an on-call rotation Travel between program sites as required Demonstrate leadership in training of the nursing department, promoting accountability, ethical practice, and high-quality care delivery Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing New Jersey Registered Nurse Single or Multi-State License Nurse Educator experience preferred Two to three years of DDD experience preferred Should possess or have the ability to obtain professional liability/malpractice insurance
