Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Nurse Director to lead our nursing team and oversee all clinical operations within our healthcare facility. This pivotal role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional resident-centered care. The Nurse Director will champion quality improvement initiatives, foster a positive work environment, and uphold the highest standards of nursing practice. Duties Provide strategic leadership and supervision for nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct care providers, ensuring effective shift management and staffing levels Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet medical and psychosocial needs Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards, Medicare requirements, and state licensing laws Review medical records, documentation, and clinical notes regularly to maintain accuracy and completeness in accordance with EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems Manage nursing administration tasks such as scheduling, performance evaluations, training programs, and supervising daily operations Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care across services like assisted living, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing documentation for accuracy, conducting audits on medical records, and implementing process improvements to enhance resident safety and satisfaction Skills Extensive knowledge of nursing practices within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, hospice care, and acute care environments Proven experience in nurse management with supervising experience in a healthcare setting Strong understanding of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, care planning processes, and Medicare regulations Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) documentation review Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment Deep knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support clinical decision-making and resident care strategies Proficiency in medical terminology, documentation standards, shift management, and medical records review Ability to ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy rules while managing sensitive medical information effectively Strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities across different departments while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review Effective communication skills to liaise with residents' families, healthcare providers, regulatory agencies, and staff members Join us as a Nurse Director if you're ready to lead with passion in a dynamic healthcare environment that values excellence in resident care.
