SUMMARY:
Provides oversight of RN/ LPN/CNA and secretarial staff in the performance of daily duties. Assists in problems solving to help alleviate clinical issues and processes on the assigned unit. Act as the clinical resource person, working as a team with the nurse manager, staff and the provider to identify the plan of care for each patient. Supports nurse manager in developing work plans that enable the unit to reach financial/quality/safety/operational targets. Provide superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees & assures short & long term Nursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines. Facilitates units in emergency medical assessment & care of residents including interventions, transportation & other resources needed. Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements. Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissions dept. the rapid admission of residents including obtaining evaluations as indicated. Serves as adjunct to staff development coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff as per master schedule/plan. Provides continuity of resident status with hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration. Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and assuring appropriate completion of required records. Serves as major facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept. including completion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actions required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program One to three years of nursing experience required. Registered in NYS as a registered nurse professional. Basic Life Support (BLS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred. LT PAC nursing experience preferred. One year of supervisory experience preferred.

PAY RANGE
$40.50
  • $57.
69 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
