    $145,000
  • $160,000 annually FlexStaff is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our client's Behavioral Health unit.

Key Qualifications:
+ Must have experience managing a psychiatric unit within a hospital setting. + Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse. + At least 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry. + A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role. + Valid NY State RN license and current licensure. + BLS and ACLS certified. + Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams, oversee regulatory compliance (JCAHO, NYSDOH, OMH, DOHMH, ACS), and implement quality improvement initiatives. + Experience in budget management, performance improvement, and clinical operations. + Strong critical thinking, communication, and computer skills. + Master's Degree in Nursing Required.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead and manage the psychiatric unit, ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining regulatory compliance. + Foster positive relationships with patients, visitors, staff, and other stakeholders. + Oversee daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, supply management, and clinical workflows. + Coordinate performance improvement activities, utilizing benchmarks and data analysis. + Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and hospital policies. + Monitor admissions, discharges, and discharge planning to optimize clinical management. + Prepare reports and data for regulatory agencies such as NY State OMH, DOH, JCAHO, and others. + Provide administrative coverage for the Nursing Department as needed. + Promote continuing education and professional development within the team. + Drive innovative practices and uphold the hospital's philosophy of nursing and ethical standards. Participate in virtual interviews and onboarding processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
+ Proven leadership experience managing a psychiatric unit in a hospital setting. + Strong knowledge of quality improvement models, root cause analysis, and regulatory requirements. + Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to utilize electronic health records and healthcare systems effectively. + Commitment to professional growth and maintaining current clinical knowledge.
