$20.00•36.00 per hour, based on credentials and experience Our growing neurology practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Coordinator (Medical Assistant or LPN) to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys both direct patient care and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced specialty practice. This is a hands-on role that combines clinical and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is a team player who is willing to assist wherever needed to support patient care, office operations, and practice growth. ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for provider visits Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies Assist providers with patient care and clinical documentation Process prescription refill requests and patient messages Coordinate testing, referrals, and follow-up care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Administrative Responsibilities Process and follow up on prior authorizations Complete benefits investigations and insurance verification Communicate with insurance companies, pharmacies, hospitals, and referring providers Coordinate care with other medical practices and healthcare organizations Assist with referrals, scheduling, and patient communications Support clinical and operational workflows as needed Backfill front desk responsibilities, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, phone coverage, and collection of patient balances when necessary Minimum Qualifications Current New York State LPN license required for LPN applicants Medical Assistant certification for MA applicants Minimum of 2-3 years of current, directly applicable medical office or clinical experience required Strong clinical and patient care skills Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Must be willing to perform both clinical and administrative responsibilities as practice needs dictate Preferred Qualifications Neurology experience strongly preferred Experience with prior authorizations and benefits investigations Experience with referrals and specialty practice workflows Experience with Medent Practice Management and Electronic Health Record systems Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance plans Experience communicating with providers, hospitals, pharmacies, and insurance carriers What We're Looking For We are seeking a proactive, solutions-oriented team member who takes initiative, embraces challenges, and is willing to roll up their sleeves when needed.
