$120,000.00-$150,000.00 Job Summary The Nurse Manager performs the primary functions of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care. Specifically, you will participate in performance improvement and research activities, maintain fiscal responsibilities of supplies and equipment on the unit as well as be responsible for the coordination and facility of quality nursing care through the24 hour management of the designated patient care area.

Job Duties Include:

Consistently demonstrate leadership and management approach to daily clinical and administrative practice. Ensure delivery of safe, quality patient/family centered care are provided timely Patient/customer satisfaction issues are resolved timely Collaboration with other departments to ensure quality patient care Development and implementation of policies and procedures according to evidence-based practice in accordance with regulatory standards and guidelines.

Clinical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, patient assessment, and use of complex medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, often in high-stress situations. Ability to mentor/coach nursing staff on analytical and decision-making skills for rapid assessment and decision-making capabilities to respond to changing patient conditions. Responsible for managing the department's budget, tracking expenditures, and reallocating funds as necessary to meet operational needs in collaboration with

Education and Requirements:

Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree required Valid NYS Nursing License Minimum of 5 years clinical experience along with progressive management experience BLS/ACLS/Infection Control Certifications CCRN Certification (Obtain within 90 days upon hire) Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
