SUMMARY The Off Shift Director of Nursing is a Nursing Leader who serves as a resource for problem solving, provides clinical expertise, facilitates staff mentoring and coaching, facilitates patient flow during the off shifts (typically, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees & assures short & long term Nursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines. Facilitates units in emergency medical assessment & care of residents including interventions, transportation & other resources needed. Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements. Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissions dept. the rapid admission of residents including obtaining evaluations as indicated. Serves as adjunct to staff development coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff as per master schedule/plan. Provides continuity of resident status with hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration. Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and assuring appropriate completion of required records. Serves as major facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept. including completion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actions required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Current New York State Registered Nurse License Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum of two to three years of RN experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered Leadership experience

  • $57.
69 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
