Nurse Manager
- Men's Residence Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services
- Full Time

Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership:
Lead and coordinate the nursing staff across two clinics, setting standards for evidence-based care in substance use treatment. Monitor clinical practices to ensure compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals receiving recovery services.Staff Supervision and Development:
Oversee RNs, LPNs, and MAs, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Provide mentorship, orientation for new staff, and ongoing training to ensure all team members maintain competency and adhere to best practices in addiction medicine.Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with all federal and state regulatory bodies and accreditation standards for ambulatory clinics. Maintain policies and procedures that meet state and federal requirements, and prepare the clinics for any inspections or audits by regulatory bodies (e.g. health department or accrediting organizations).Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, counselors, social workers, and other professionals. Facilitate regular team meetings and case conferences to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans addressing both the medical and psychosocial needs of patients.Quality Improvement:
Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and safety. Track key performance indicators (e.g. patient retention, treatment success rates, and incident reports) and use data to drive improvements in clinical protocols and service delivery.Clinic Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day clinic operations at both sites to ensure efficiency and consistency. Manage patient flow, triage processes, and resource allocation so that clinics run smoothly and wait times are minimized. Coordinate staffing coverage between the two locations to meet patient demand.Policy and Procedure Administration:
Develop, update, and enforce clinical policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures. Ensure that all nursing practices (from intake assessments to medication administration and discharge planning) are performed according to established guidelines and evidence-based protocols.Patient Care Oversight:
Supervise the delivery of direct patient care, especially in high-risk or complex cases. Ensure proper administration of treatments and medications as ordered by providers (e.g. withdrawal management medications or other prescribed therapies), and that emergency protocols are in place for any adverse events.Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care in the electronic health record system. Uphold strict confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) and proper record-keeping practices, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication records for each patient.Professional Development and Support:
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff, providing guidance in challenging situations and promoting continuous learning (such as updates in addiction nursing practices or new treatment modalities). Lead regular staff meetings and communicate organizational updates or changes in policy.Safety and Infection Control:
Uphold a safe, therapeutic environment for both patients and staff. Oversee infection control measures, medication storage procedures, and workplace safety protocols in the clinics. Investigate and address, and enter reports for any safety incidents or patient care concerns, implementing corrective actions as needed.Qualifications and Requirements Education & Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree or relevant certification in nursing or healthcare management is a plus.Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably including work in substance use treatment, behavioral health, or other ambulatory care settings. At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or nurse manager role is strongly preferred.Clinical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of substance use disorders and treatment modalities in an residential setting. Familiarity with medication management for addiction (e.g. understanding of withdrawal medications and overdose reversal) and behavioral health interventions.Regulatory Familiarity:
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards applicable to residential clinics (such as state substance use treatment guidelines, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards). Ability to ensure compliance and prepare teams for regulatory surveys or audits.Leadership Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate nursing staff across multiple sites. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and to handle sensitive patient situations with empathy and professionalism.Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Capable of managing schedules, multiple priorities, and the operational needs of two busy clinics. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic office software for reporting and communication.Quality and Improvement Mindset:
Experience with quality improvement initiatives or performance improvement projects in a healthcare setting. Able to collect and analyze data, then implement changes to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) may be required or preferred. Certification in Addictions Nursing (CARN or CARN-AP) or related specialty is an advantage but not mandatory.Other Requirements:
High level of integrity and commitment to patient confidentiality. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to emergencies or unexpected situations in a calm and effective manner. Willingness to travel between the two clinic sites as needed.Physical Requirements:
Frequent hand and finger use (e.g., to operate a computer keyboard). Lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs. (e.g., boxes, equipment, IV solutions), with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch for tasks such as retrieving items from lower shelves or filing in low drawers. Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, as the position may require. Capacity to operate job-related equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.Location and Shift Information:

Standard Rate of $94,993.60- $129,459.
