Waterloo, NYFull-timeOverviewThe Nurse Manager will oversee clinical operations and staff within a Special Needs Unit.This full-time, day-shift position offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance.
The Nurse Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and an empowering environment for nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities⢠Lead and support nursing staff including CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and unit clerks⢠Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure adherence to DOH and facility standards⢠Coordinate interdisciplinary communication to ensure continuity of patient care⢠Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations⢠Implement strategies that promote patient safety, staff development, and quality outcomes⢠Facilitate effective team communication and project management⢠Ensure proper documentation and reporting within electronic health systems⢠Participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development
QualificationsRequired:
⢠Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program⢠Current NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse⢠Minimum 2 years of recent management or supervisory experience in a long-term care facility⢠Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff⢠Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic health record systemsPreferred:
⢠Experience with Meditech or similar healthcare software⢠Background in Special Needs Unit or long-term care managementBenefits Include:
