Nurse ManagerLocation:
Waterloo, NYFull-timeOverviewThe Nurse Manager will oversee clinical operations and staff within a Special Needs Unit.

This full-time, day-shift position offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance.

The Nurse Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and an empowering environment for nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities• Lead and support nursing staff including CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and unit clerks• Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure adherence to DOH and facility standards• Coordinate interdisciplinary communication to ensure continuity of patient care• Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations• Implement strategies that promote patient safety, staff development, and quality outcomes• Facilitate effective team communication and project management• Ensure proper documentation and reporting within electronic health systems• Participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development
QualificationsRequired:
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program• Current NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse• Minimum 2 years of recent management or supervisory experience in a long-term care facility• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic health record systems
Preferred:
• Experience with Meditech or similar healthcare software• Background in Special Needs Unit or long-term care management
