Role:
The Clinical Services Coordinator, RN, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality patient care within healthcare settings. This position is responsible for coordinating clinical services, managing patient care plans, and facilitating communication among multidisciplinary teams to optimize health outcomes. The coordinator acts as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to ensure that clinical operations run efficiently and comply with regulatory standards. By overseeing scheduling, resource allocation, and clinical documentation, the role supports both patient satisfaction and operational excellence. Ultimately, the Clinical Services Coordinator contributes to the enhancement of healthcare delivery by integrating clinical expertise with organizational management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree. Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of clinical care standards, healthcare regulations, and patient safety protocols. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in clinical coordination or case management roles. Certification in case management (CCM) or clinical nurse leadership. Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams and managing complex patient populations.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage daily clinical operations to ensure timely and effective patient care delivery. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers. Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary departments. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies. Oversee clinical documentation accuracy and maintain patient records in accordance with privacy laws. Assist in staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluation to maintain a competent clinical team. Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in quality assurance initiatives. Serve as a resource for patients and families, providing education and support throughout the care continuum.
