Assures maintenance of the environment of care and all applicable standards/policies (e.g. established AMC policies, procedures and standards of care, OSHA, ODH, JCAHO, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (ODBH) and other accrediting bodies). Utilizes principles of the nursing process in providing care for patients. Build and develops the patient care team using staff personnel, assistance to physicians, material and equipment, education of personnel and administrative duties. Serves as chief retention and recruitment leader of the unit. Accountable to the organization to understand and support the hospital's mission, visions and values. Bachelor's degree Additional requirements: βͺ Type of degree: Nursing βͺ Area of study or major: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing βͺ Preferred educational qualifications: N/A βͺ Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration βͺ Valid Nursing License in the State of Ohio βͺ Current CPR at time of hire. βͺ Certification in area of specialty/expertise preferred. βͺ AVADE certification required within 1st 90 days in position.Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required:
3 - 5 years of job related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: See below Prior specific functional responsibilities: See below Preferred experience: Minimum of four years hospital experience in pertinent clinical specialty (inpatient or outpatient behavioral health only) and 2-3 years in leadership/management/charge role preferred.Other experience requirements:
N/A Knowledge/Skills βͺ Require continuing education in leadership as evidenced by attending leadership management topics. Excellent clinical, time management, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills required. Proven skill in leadership, care management, and performance improvement required.
