Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff during weekend shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to clinical protocols. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation to maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records. Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate timely treatment plans and discharge planning. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and safety procedures across all patient care activities. Manage medication administration, IV infusions, catheter care, and other complex nursing procedures with precision and attention to detail. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation, order entry, and data retrieval. Provide mentorship and supervision to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high team morale. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state requirements. Proven experience in long term care is highly desirable. Strong background in geriatrics or long-term care environments including assisted living or nursing homes. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a healthcare setting. Ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs measurement, physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support (BLS). Excellent communication skills for effective triage, patient education (health coaching), discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus; familiarity with dementia care or memory support is advantageous.
