JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Manager is responsible for the operational management of his/her designated unit(s). Implicit in this statement is indicated responsibility for the supervision, direction, and support of the nursing staff on that unit. Demonstrates Leadership ability and serves as a role model for clinical practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Satisfactory work experience, demonstrating nursing knowledge and skill, interest, leadership, and willingness to accept responsibility. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma. Minimum of 2 years of experience in area of nursing supervision. Preferably one year's management experience. B.S.N. or currently enrolled in a bachelor s program; Certification in specialty area preferred. Current BLS card or completion of course within 30 days of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare and process information, supervise practice of employees, and monitor the environment. Must be able to talk and hear to converse with others, in person, and over the telephone. Demonstrates adequate stamina to deal with stressful situations and to complete necessary work schedule. Able to work in latex burdened environment.
