This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of geriatric care, dementia management, and healthcare regulations. The successful candidate will provide clinical oversight, foster high-quality patient care, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and laws. This position offers an opportunity to influence positive health outcomes for seniors while leading a team of compassionate nursing professionals. Duties Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff across multiple senior living facilities, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and best practices. Develop, implement, and monitor policies related to dementia care, assisted living protocols, and memory care services aligned with regulatory requirements. Oversee patient assessments, care planning, and documentation to ensure individualized, comprehensive care for residents. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate medical treatments such as IV infusion, catheterization, wound care, and medication administration. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and safety standards across all facilities. Manage staffing schedules, supervise performance evaluations, and promote ongoing professional development for nursing staff. Collaborate with medical providers on complex cases involving acute pain management, behavioral health issues, or specialized therapies like dialysis or ventilator support. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to maintain accurate medical documentation and facilitate efficient communication. Lead quality assurance initiatives including utilization review, audit preparation, and adherence to NCQA standards. Support discharge planning, family communication, and coordination of ancillary services such as laboratory testing or imaging. Requirements OR RN or LPN licensure in good standing with significant experience in geriatrics or senior care settings. Proven supervisory or nurse management experience within assisted living or memory care environments. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and clinical procedures including IV insertion, tube feeding, and sterile technique. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; proficiency in medical documentation is essential. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges is preferred. Strong understanding of regulatory standards including HIPAA compliance and NCQA accreditation processes. Ability to manage multiple facilities effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care. Critical care experience from hospital settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is advantageous. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management, staff development, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
