At a 65 bed short-term acute care hospital, the Medical-Surgical Nurse delivers comprehensive care to a diverse adult population, including post-operative, telemetry-appropriate, and complex comorbidity patients. The Inpatient RN practices in thoughtfully designed spaces featuring private rooms, centralized monitoring, safe patient-handling technology, and real-time clinical decision tools. Interdisciplinary rounds unite hospitalists, pharmacy, therapy, case management, and social work to streamline plans of care and elevate outcomes. Standardized order sets, bar-code medication administration, and evidence-based protocols help the Clinical Nurse Leader drive quality, safety, and throughput. The Charge Nurse Med/Surg champions patient experience, nurse-sensitive indicators, and seamless care transitions across the continuum.

The Charge RN reports to an experienced Nurse Manager and partners closely with a Med-Surg Director to align resources, staffing, and strategic unit goals.
