Relief Nurse Supervisor (RN)
Position Summary:
The Meadows Psychiatric Center-Centre Hall, PA is seeking a day shift Nurse Supervisor (RN) to provide administrative and clinical supervision to all nursing department staff throughout the hospital during their assigned shift. The Nursing Supervisor promotes quality patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of The Meadows Psychiatric Center. The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119 bed inpatient behavioral health facility with numerous outpatient programs which span the entire continuum of care. The beautiful 52-acre rural campus is located minutes outside of State College in Central PA. The Meadows provides comprehensive care to children through geriatrics. Relief Nurse Supervisor (RN) Key Responsibilities Include:
Demonstrate leadership in organizing the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Supervise nursing department staff and regularly evaluate staff work performance. Make effective decisions regarding patient care in compliance with facility policies and procedures. Maintain communication between hospital Administration, Nursing Administration, and department leaders. Relieves nursing staff for meal breaks. Relief Nurse Supervisor (RN) Shift:
Day Shift-7:00 AM to 7:00 PM includes working every other weekend and holiday requirement Requirements:
Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License Previous supervisor/manager experience is highly preferred. Genuine interest in Psychiatric Nursing Previous Psychiatric Nursing experience preferred, not required as we provide on the job training and education Website:
