Works collaboratively with all anesthesia staff and department employees. Coordinates department activities in at least one of the following areas: Education, Orientation, Competencies, Research, Equipment, Epic, or Performance Improvement.Job Duties:
Monitors, evaluates, and makes recommendations to staff in the Anesthesia Department. Participates in the formulation of CRNA policies and goals as well as policies affecting other departments; communicates and interprets policies, procedures, and regulations to patients, visitor and staff members. Directs individual professional development through mentoring, coaching and educational opportunities. Communicates significant issues on units to Chief CRNA in a timely manner. Assists Chief CRNA by carrying out the process improvement plan and educational plan with staff completing documentation of remediation. Provides education for new products, equipment, and procedures in collaboration with the equipment coordinator. Assumes responsibility for identifying processes or systems that could potentially lead to errors and adverse events. Reviews employee performance and completes periodic and annual evaluations. Directs individual professional development through mentoring, coaching and educational activities. Establishes, teaches, and evaluates professional development activities. Coordinates the activities associated with Education, Orientation, Competencies, Research, Equipment, and Epic or Performance Improvement. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
