ONLY POOL/PRN/PER DIEM AVAILABLE
The Village at Penn State, located in State College, PA, is one of the area's premier independent living communities, has an exciting opportunity for a Pool LPN Charge Nurse. Schedule Details Pool
  • As Needed Skilled Nursing Department 6:30am
  • 7:00pm and 6:30pm
  • 7:00am shifts
Job Responsibilities:
Direct the day-to-day functions of household staff or other nursing personnel. Interview and complete timely evaluations of household staff. Ensure that all assigned nursing personnel including household staff comply with the written policies and procedures. Evaluate/assess all residents with a change in condition daily. Ensure physician/family notification and documentation of changes in condition. Ensure proper procedures and policies for assisting with medications including accuracy, documentation, orders, etc., are followed for every medication daily. Complete admission/discharge procedures. Responsible for reviewing all incidents on the shift of occurrence and follow-up visits when deemed necessary. Ensure adequate supplies are available to staff at the beginning of shift. Investigate and document all complaints, attempts to solve them and/or refer them at the time the complaint is heard. Collaborate as needed concerning admissions, discharges and transfers. Communicate resident problems to physicians. Requirements Must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved LPN/LVN/ program. Current CPR certification. Three (3) years' experience in geriatric nursing and supervisor experience preferred. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a LPN/LVN in this state. Here is just some of the benefits of coming to work for The Village at Penn State...
