Job Description

Windber Woods Senior Living & Rehabilitation Center , is a beautiful CCRC seeking looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) as RN Supervisor/Charge Nurse for our night shift 11p to 7a with every other weekend rotation. We offer 8 hour, 10 hour or 12 hour shifts.
Qualifications:
Must possess valid unencumbered Pennsylvania state Registered Nurse• (RN)• license Two (2) or more years of experience as a supervisor in a nursing care center, hospital, or other related health care center.
Essential Functions:
Assist the Director of Nursing in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities. Ensure all nursing personnel are in compliance with their respective job descriptions. Admit, Transfer and Discharge Residents as required. Complete Accident / Incident Reports as necessary. Perform Administrative duties such as completing medical records forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc. as necessary. Ensure that a sufficient number of nursing personnel are assigned to their shift and the shift following. Develop work assignments, and/or assist in completing and performing such tasks. Make Rounds during the course of the shift to ensure that all nursing personnel are performing their work assignment. Ensure that established policies and procedures are followed by all nursing personnel. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis. Review and evaluate your department's work force and make recommendations to the DON. Ensure department disciplinary action is administered fairly and following all appropriate guidelines. Inform Nursing personnel of new admissions and make sure room is ready. Notify the resident's physician and family with any change in the resident's condition. Reviewing charting for nursing personnel for completion before the end of the shift. Windber Woods Senior Living is offering a $4,000 sign-on bonus.
