Clinical Nursing Supervisor 14424 Lower Guthrie Court, Saint Paul, MN 55124 From $80,000 a year - Full-time From $80,000 a year - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nursing Supervisor to lead and coordinate nursing services within our healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will oversee patient care delivery, manage nursing staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote a high standard of clinical excellence. Burnsville, MN 55337 Responsibilities Provides or delegates an admission assessment for all new
Residents:
  • Completes all admission paperwork on time.
  • Prepares a service plan for each Resident with input from the Resident and/or responsible party.
  • Orients direct care staff to the service plan.
  • Obtains physician orders, as appropriate.
  • Obtains needed equipment, supplies, and medications for Residents.
Assures that the assessment and physician orders are appropriately updated. Delegates activities to the unlicensed personnel as appropriate according to nursing judgment and state regulations. Assures adequate staffing by preparing and implementing a 24-hour daily staffing plan to meet residents' needs at all times, including reasonably foreseeable needs. Provides or delegates supervisory visits according to nursing judgment and state home care licensure regulations. Reviews and updates the service plan to ensure that it is current and accurate. Assures the completion of discharges and transfers for Residents when needed Establishes and assures the implementation of the medication management program for Residents based on assessed data and according to agency policy and state statute. Documents as indicated in the clinical record. Responds to clinical problems and or emergencies as identified by the unlicensed personnel 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Communicates with families, responsible parties, case managers, and other health care providers regarding the Residents when indicated Directs and delegates the orientation of new staff: Completes competency evaluation Provides orientation to clinical responsibilities Conducts the supervisions and competencies for unlicensed personnel, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses within the organization. Responds to employee performance problems or complaints related to clinical issues. Participates with the Administrator in disciplinary activities as needed. Provides in-services as appropriate Coordinates other educational opportunities for staff Obtains relevant training materials Provides documentation of training to the Administrator Responds to requests for training as appropriate Is aware of, uses, and promotes good safety practices, including but not limited to: Body mechanics Reporting of defective equipment or hazards Using Universal Precautions and appropriate infection control measures Knowledge of emergency procedures Reporting incidents/accidents to the Administrator on the day of occurrence Participates in care conferences with other members of the health care team Leads the agency's quality assurance program Demonstrates commitment to team-building activities within the company Maintains absolute confidentiality of all information pertaining to Residents, families, and employees Promotes a safe and comfortable environment for the resident and family Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills Recognizes and manages own stresses, which may affect work performance Participates in in-service educational programs, as required by state regulations Performs additional duties as assigned by the Administrator Adheres to all agency policies Provide supervisions for nursing staff and direct support staff. Completes and reviews compliance and training for all staff. Must physically go to each facility
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/JOB SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
High School Graduate Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota Experience in home care or assisted living preferred Supervisory experience preferred Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and carry out directions and instructions Able to function independently Good health status and emotional stability Demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence Knowledge of Minnesota
