Job Description

Summary:
As an Administrative, Clinical, and Educational resource, the Director Of Peri-Operative Services monitors clinical operations to ensure the congruence between theory and practice. She/He assesses the needs of the service and develops strategies and systems to meet those needs. Works with Physicians, Payers, Administrators, Educators, Consumers, and others to meet the goals of Patient Care Service. The Director creates a culture that is responsive to patients and their families and fosters outcomes based practice. Blends the sometimes diverse needs of clinical competency, patient advocacy, and management of resources for the staff.
Education:
Must be a graduate from a state approved school of clinical nursing; BSN required; Masters in Nursing Administration or related specialty is preferred. Must also earn 10 CEU's annually. Current Rhode Island RN licensure required.
Experience:
Must have a minimum of five years as an RN in direct nursing practice in an acute care setting. Previous clinical and management experience in the related specialty areas preferred. The Director must possess leadership abilities and be knowledgeable and skillful in communicating and effecting change for multiple areas of responsibility. Must also have five years experience in OR / Perioperative nursing and a demonstrated track record in strategic planning and marketing in a competitive environment.

Full Time regular (64-80 hrs), 1, 7am- 4pm
