Summary:
The Clinical Lead, Physician Practice is a working team member in the department and Clinical Lead who is responsible for assisting Operations Management with daily operations, assignments, and record-keeping tasks. Reporting to the Operations Management and coordinating as needed on all operational issues. He/she posts monthly and daily assignments for the clinical team, as well as the daily workstation assignments for clinicians. This individual serves as the first line of communication for the department to convey patient schedule changes, time clock issues, and PTO requests.

Performs all clinical functions within the Outpatient Clinic, with dedicated time for additional operational dutiesPrepares daily clinic assignment sheet, utilizing departmental and practice dynamics to discern the best clinician/team member combinationsFairly distributes workload among clinical team, alternating schedules of lesser volume, break times, etc.

Grants PTO on monthly schedule within specific guidelines set by Ballad and management, requesting management approval for any requests outside of established guidelinesPrepares monthly schedules, ensuring adequate coverage within the department (including early and late hours) and other areas of cross-coverageMonitors time clock system for missed punches and consults with employees to complete missed punches.

Participates in operational aspects of implementation of new processesServes as EHR super user/resource for team members and cliniciansPerforms employee health tasks for office (flu vaccines/TB tests, medication administration)Reviews EPIC regarding completion orders, medication administration, and overdue ordersLeads the development and training of new team members, implementing practices that deliver safe competent care to patients based upon application of the nursing process Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
High School Graduate. Graduate of an LPN program, a Paramedic course, or an A-EMT course. 2 years' experience working in a physician practice setting is required.
Knowledge/Skills Abilities:
Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills. Computer competency, including basic MS Office skills. Ability to work without close direct supervision. Excellent rapport with co-workers in all departments and with providers. Ability to function as role model for other PCTs and LPNs. Excellent understanding in the functioning and troubleshooting of the EHR.
Licenses and Certifications:
Current LPN license for state of practice. Current A-EMT license for state of practice. Current Paramedic license for state of practice. CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require
