Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient, and patient centered care. Oversee staffing coordination, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and unit support for daily hospital operations. Mentor charge nurses and frontline leaders, promoting accountability, professionalism, and strong clinical judgment. Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated care, communication, and rapid response to patient needs. Monitor nursing performance, quality indicators, and patient care outcomes; assist with improvement initiatives. Support compliance with hospital policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable regulatory/accreditation requirements. Assist leadership with orientation, staff development, engagement, and retention strategies for nursing personnel.
Shift & Work Schedule:
Varied shift schedule based on hospital needs. Position requires travel between Houston and Baytown locations.
Required Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas. BSN required; MSN or related graduate degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience with progressive leadership responsibility. Strong working knowledge of hospital operations, nursing standards, patient safety practices, and team leadership. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Valid Texas Class C Drivers License required to travel between medical locations.
