EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required Education Bachelor's Degree in nursing or appropriate field. and Experience 3 years of experience in healthcare leadership. Licenses and Certifications (RN)

JOB DUTIES
Supports positive relations between patients, families, clinical team, ambulatory services, and staff by promoting a patient-centric culture across the UTSW continuum of care. Creates innovative methods for enhancing the UTSW patient experience through recommending improvements, which incorporates the needs of all patient populations. Serves as a hospital liaison to the Patient Assistance Office (PAO), Risk Management, and Patient Liaison Services (PLS). Demonstrates the ability to interact with and advocate for patients, families, and visitors. Assists with planning and facilitating patient admissions and rounding on patients as assigned. Leads by example, role-modeling expected customer service behaviors and practices. Accesses patient medical records for review and investigational purposes. Demonstrates a high level of compassion, sensitivity, and professionalism when working with all patient and visitor populations. Assists with visitors, events, and tours scheduled at the University Hospital. Partners with unit and departmental leadership to respond to, coach staff, and resolve patient complaints. Works in collaboration with patient experience supporting committees, workgroups, and teams. Requires after hours and weekend coverage Performs other duties as assigned.
