Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. The LVN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, assisting in the delivery of patient care while ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. Duties Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes. Assist with daily living activities for patients, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention. Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, wound care, and phlebotomy. Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for patients. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Skills Candidates should possess a variety of skills that enhance their ability to provide exceptional patient care.
Preferred skills include:
Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and basic life support. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and vital sign monitoring. Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care. Familiarity with acute pain management, hospice care, geriatrics, pediatrics, home care, and outpatient services. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to perform medical procedures such as suturing, airway management, specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluations.
