Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Charge Nurse LVN/RN, where your leadership and clinical expertise will drive exceptional patient care across diverse settings. This vital role empowers you to coordinate nursing activities, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards while fostering a positive environment for both patients and team members. Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care aligned with organizational policies and healthcare regulations. Coordinate daily clinical operations, including patient assessments, treatment planning, and documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Oversee medication administration, IV infusions, catheter care, and wound management while ensuring adherence to HIPAA and infection control protocols. Conduct patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status accurately. Facilitate communication among multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes. Manage urgent situations such as acute pain episodes or airway management with confidence and professionalism. Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, including
ICD-9/10
coding standards and CPT coding when applicable. Qualifications Valid LVN or RN license with current state certification; additional certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Demonstrated experience in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine; hospital experience preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with medical documentation standards. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to perform accurate patient assessments. Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and those requiring memory or behavioral health care. Ability to handle complex cases involving infectious disease care, hospice services, trauma response (Level I/II Trauma Center experience), or post-acute care environments. $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
