Job Description

RN Weekend Supervisor We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Weekend Supervisor to oversee weekend nursing operations. The RN Weekend Supervisor is responsible for supervising nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care during weekend shifts. This role provides clinical leadership, administrative oversight, and ensures compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.

Supervise and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs to ensure high standards of resident care. Act as the lead clinical resource, providing guidance on resident care management and nursing best practices. Conduct assessments and respond to changes in resident conditions promptly. Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, and families regarding care needs and updates. Oversee medication administration and treatments per physician orders; ensure accurate documentation. Enforce infection control protocols and maintain a safe, compliant environment. Lead during emergency situations, making timely and sound clinical decisions. Assist with staffing, scheduling, and ensuring appropriate shift coverage. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and ensure thorough hand-off reports for continuity of care. Monitor and address staff or resident concerns and escalate issues when necessary. Maintain complete and timely documentation in medical records and facility reports.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN required).
Licensure:
Current, valid RN license in the state of [State].
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus. Why Join Us?
