Job Summary and Qualifications To ensure the delivery of optimal patient care through the coordination of clinical activities, staff supervision, personnel leadership/management, and unit organization. Demonstrates a service excellence approach and communicates this expectation to staff. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by achieving financial objectives of designated unit(s). Leads and coaches the development and growth of a safety culture in the department. What you will do in this role: Achieves professional goals set during previous evaluation period Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct at all times Demonstrates and maintains good employee/peer relationship and teamwork Prioritize work and duties and must work well under stressful situations Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills with patients, families, physicians, peers and healthcare team Demonstrates accountability for direct patient care, applies nursing process, prioritizes care and evaluates outcome Participates and facilitates in the discharge planning process and assists with decreasing readmissions Documents all aspects of pateint care efficiently, accurately and per policy recommendations. Delegate's patient care to license/ non licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of patient, staff availability and qualifications Participates in Performance Improvement activity Provides leadership support in day-day clinical unit operations and supports a culture of safety on the unit What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt Basic Cardiac Life Support Registered Nurse Bachelors Degree required 3 years nursing experience in an acute care setting.
