UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program, and a Level
III NICU.
Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities The nurse manager will promote the mission and values of the organization and serve as an active advocate for providing quality patient care, excellent customer service, and efficient healthcare. As a member of the management team, the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning, and program development to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Bachelor's in nursing from an accredited school of nursing Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of nursing and healthcare administration Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical assessments and institute safe and efficacious care within the structure of a collaborative health team Considerable knowledge of requirements by federal, state, or regulatory bodies Considerable knowledge of effective workforce utilization Knowledge of general financial management
Preferred Job Requirements:
3+ years of clinical nursing experience in cardiac care and/or critical care Certification in a clinical specialty Current ACLS #LI-AG1
